Frequently Asked Questions
Low Preassure Washing is cleaning a surface with minimal pressure. Whenever possible we let our high quality cleaning solutions do most of the work and rinse with minimal pressure. This method is always used on roofs.
Low Pressure Washing helps prevent accidental damage to roofs and siding. In most cases it is just as effective as high pressure washing when done properly with high quality, modern cleaning formulas. It also minimizes the chance of water infiltration through door and window seals. We do use pressure, as necessary, for anything but roofs.
Siding should be washed about every 2-3 years (or as needed) as preventive maintenance against imbedded dirt, polutants, algae, mold and mildew. You could wait until stains return to wash your roof but it would require a repeat of the entire roof washing process. We can provide an optional, inexpensive, annual maintenance that will prevent stains from returning and keep your home looking its best. Concrete can be done as needed. Many people prefer to keep ahead of it by having it cleaned at the same time as a house washing. Decks should be cleaned when the sealer starts to fail or mildew is present.

No, but you will need to make sure all areas are accessable (gates, etc). All doors and windows should be closed and cars off the driveway. Fragile decorations and potted plants should be brought inside the house or garage to help avoid accidents. Pets should not be outside. Also, agreement on payment arrangements should be made in advance.
No, we specialize in cleaning.
That is the beauty of our Superior House Washing methods. We don't use old, general purpose formulas or unsafe chemicals in our blends. We use modern formulas that have been well researched and tested to be safe and effective. In addition, all plants and shrubs are wet down before, during and after as a precaution. They will also be covered if necessary. Delicate plants may sustain leaf of pedal loss due to the proximity of the spray. Any damage would usually only be minor and temporary. For example, a little browning might occur on occasion but the effect is only temporary and the shrub will recover naturally. As a precaution, sensitive potted plants should be moved inside the house or garage to prevent accidental damage from hoses or spray impact.

We do need access to a sufficient water supply. Your outdoor faucet should be fine. We don't bring water in huge tanks for a number of reasons. Water is the cheapest component of the process. County water runs about $2.50 per 1000 gallons. We usually only use 200 - 300 gallons per job. Water is cheap but very heavy. 1000 gallons of water weighs 8,330 pounds. Add the weight of the actual tank, other equipment and the extra heavy duty truck required to carry it and you have a very heavy and costly piece of equipment. It will only cost you about $1.00 or so for the water we will use. Balance that against the weight of a 17,000 pound vehicle straining the capacity of your driveway. The cost of such a vehicle is ultimately passed on to the home owner. We use smaller buffer tanks instead to maintain a consistant water feed and much lighter weight on your driveway.
